thts a great story... she is very furious, unkind, hates cry babies, cannot be defeated even by great warriors...ok.. i think build-up is enough!!!
Tis actually a imaginary character created to frighten the children who refuse to eat. In my mother toungue,
Habaal - glass
Dowri - old woman
Habalum dowri, literally means, old woman made of glass... elders frighten kids saying her teeth is very shining.. according to this mythology, thundershowers are her smiles... (Sorry no pictorial representations.. you jus develop her image mentally....) the droplets that come out her bathtub is the rain... and today i woke up disturbed by a mild thunder.. thanks Habaalumdowri for waking me up :) you know its not a easy task... :P
Next time you see a rain/ thundershower, pray Habaalumdowri that it should not hurt you as i did when i was a kid... and yeah, i admit, even now i do it.. at times
